How to Style Target's Latest Fashion Collaborations

Target fashion collaborations are my life blood. I camped outside a Target when they released their Missoni collaboration in 2011. There's no concept I love more than combining accessibility and high end fashion. Everyone deserves a beautifully crafted piece of clothing whether your budget is a $1,000 or $30. If you continue to follow my blog I can promise you will never miss a Target fashion collaboration.

Target's newest fall fashion collaboration features designer's Rachel Comey, Sandy Liang, Victor Glemaud, and Nili Lotan. What I love about the collections is that there is something for everyone's style. Whether you want a classic blue and white striped knit or a neon sweater skirt or a floral print dress, it's all there. Until Target sends me the full collection to style for free (one can dream right?), I had to prioritize and bring a reasonable number of items home with me. The items I chose to feature from the collaborations, with a brief blurb on how to style them, are listed below:

Rachel Comey x Target Faux Leather Textured Pencil Skirt $40

I had so much fun styling this item, it's incredibly versatile considering it's a croc textured faux leather skirt. It looked great dressed down with a sweater and brown boots or you can amp it up with a glamour infused form-fitting shirt and bold accessories (think a large gold tone necklace or a bright colored evening bag.) Simply adding a button-down blouse to the skirt was one of my favorite ways to style it.

Sandy Liang x Target Gingham 3/4 Sleeve Shirtdress $50

I was on the fence when I saw this shirtdress hanging in the store but once I threw it on with some leggings, I wasn't leaving without it. I wouldn't recommend wearing this with jeans or anything bulky since it's already baggy but if you pair it with leggings (plain black or leather for a nicely contrasted look) and ankle boots it's a cute comfortable ensemble to run around in this fall. When adding jewelry stick with earrings or bracelets, a necklace would distract away from the cute neckline.

Victor Glemaud x Target Polka Dot Midi Sweater Skirt $40

This skirt is so playful and fun. I styled it for an upscale evening by adding a card holder on a chain with dangling jewels and flashy ankle boots or a beautiful knit cardigan with a small black clutch. For a laid back daytime vibe just add a cropped tee and a colorful purse.

Nili Lotan x Target Striped Crewneck Pullover Sweater $30, Plaid Double Breasted Overcoat $80

I loved these classic items by Nili Lotan. They are great pillars for a fall wardrobe because a plaid double breasted coat and striped sweater never go out of style. The overcoat can be worn with anything, a dress, skirt/shirt combo, black trousers, or jeans. I recommend keeping the top or dress underneath solid color vs patterned since a busy pattern combined with the plaid will compete for visual attention. I especially enjoyed the coat mixed with a gold chained bag and leather leggings.

The striped sweater is a great basic with jeans or a pencil skirt. Add layered necklaces for a more polished look.

I hope you enjoy exploring and styling the newest Target fashion collaborations as much as I did.

Stay fashionable, Linda
